Another day of searching has turned up a number of new finds. Most interestingly an inventory list. We managed to catalogue everything in the building. Whoever made it didn't take anything out or bring anything in afterwards.
This is truly making me uneasy about being here. The fact the place is so well boarded leads to the idea that it has been since the beginning, or at least very nearly, because there were less Rani then, and therefore disruption. Add to that the man with bloodlust we discovered who obviously had been around the village quite a bit and it reinforces that the place must have been secure early.
Looking at the inventory (which lists by room as well) we found that there were different styles of handwriting, so we can only guess that there was more than one person here. Of course that raises the other question: what could take a number of people out without leaving a trace.
The only thing that springs to my mind is Day 3 and the family I saw. The father having killed them all to protect them from what was going to happen. But then where are the bodies? Unless they were fed to the Rani. But that would also mean whoever killed them put the weapon back afterwards (in the correct room) cleared of blood. I just don't get it.
This place is perfect to stay, but at the same time I feel like it's the perfect place to die, or more accurately, get killed.
Therefore we are now very closely monitoring the Rani situation. When the levels drop, we move out.
