We awoke today to silence. No noise of the Rani around us.
Upon inspection we found how sturdy the building actually was. In some places it really appears to be easier to break through the wall than the barricade. But in all I would feel safe to sleep next to them.
It is still strange that we haven't found anyone living here. The mystery deepened through the discovery of makeshift weapons. Some were rubbish; i.e. 6-9 inch nails hammered through a plank of wood. It's good in theory but would mean you are attaching yourself to the Rani. It would be better against people. Some were good; I particularly like the spark sticks (or whatever they are called) attached to a rod. Those manual ignition things for when power is out or you are no good with matches. I tried it out and I reckon it would set alight the clothing of the Rani. I'm not sure what damage that would actually do to them, and I'm pretty sure that they would end up burning the building you are hiding in, but if the flames weren't put out they would take that Rani down. There was also the fly zapper which had the safety removed; again a potential burning hazard. But by far the most impressive is the five katana's which were just for show that have now been sharpened. Between us we found a stand for 3, so I'm guessing they 'found' or 'liberated' some elsewhere. Regardless with a defense like they have, bolstered by the whole fact they have a cellar full of canned goods and protein packs, it raises a huge question: Where are they and why would they leave.
There is the chance they saw someone and tried to save them, but it couldn't be near because we haven't found any weapons via our lookout point... The other question is why wouldn't they take some of these weapons. Were the ones they took that much better?
I guess I hope they are friendly if they ever come back, though I think our weapons may best theirs, I would prefer to make a few friends, even if they are to stay here while we move on.
I think we both have a full grasp on the building layout and what to do in panic. But we are still sleeping hidden away, at least for now. It is just a little too suspicious for me.
I hope you make another day
